That means that the Drunken Cooking sabbatical has gone on much longer than originally intended, and for that I apologize. Still, I think the wait will be worth it. As tends to happen, life has moved forward for myself, Jon and Lauren, and we’re all in different situations than when we last cracked open a bottle of bourbon and cooked our troubles away. Coming back to Drunken Cooking has been like a return home, and we can’t wait to share the journey.

So without further ado, let me announce that Drunken Cooking, Season Two will premiere on Sunday, February 27.

I know some of you are eager to get new episodes, but first I want you to know that we haven’t been acting like lazy bums during this long break.  Nope, we’ve managed to throw together a Drunken Cooking DVD that has all season one episodes, all helpful hints, and a few never-before-seen videos.  If you’re so inclined, please grab a copy and help support our alcohol habit and food addiction.

In other news, Season Two begins shooting TODAY!  Now that means we’re probably a few months out from posting new episodes, but they are on the way.  I (Brian) promise.

So please check back often, and don’t forget about us.  We haven’t forgotten about you.

First off, the DVD.  We just finished authoring the DVD for season one, and I’m in the process of getting it duplicated and ready for distribution.  That should happen in the next couple of weeks, so please buy it and help us make this whole crazy venture a little more financially sustainable.

Season two.  Well, to be honest, whether or not we do a season two is entirely dependent on how the DVD of season one sells.  We have a really devoted fanbase (THANK YOU!), and we have a blast doing the show so we’d love to have it return.  At the same time, it is pretty expensive to produce and insanely time-consuming to edit, compress, post, promote, and maintain.  But if we can crack the code to make it viable on a cash level, we can’t wait to do season two.

In other news…JON IS GETTIG MARRIED! Yes, to Erin.  They’ll tie the knot in Louisville in December, and there will be an open bar.

Also, Lauren is running around Sweden and Germany at the moment.  I’m jealous.  She’ll be back in a couple of weeks, and I’ll try and make her update you guys about the drunken debauchery that must have happened (she will be in Germany during Oktoberfest, for the love of mud).

As for me, I keep chugging away with Drunken cooking, MovieChopShop, TapCritic, and the brand that I hope will unite them all, ThoughtFly.  If you like, please fan or follow each of these on Facebook and Twitter.  I really appreciate the support.

We’ve shot 12 out of the 13 episodes that will comprise “Season One.”  Editing, however, is slower going.  I’m trying to get as much stuff cut as I can…

The feedback we’re getting is fantastic.  Overall, people really seem to enjoy the videos.  We’re working hard to continue to bring the funny, and hopefully you guys will continue to enjoy it and help the site grow.

Just a quick reminder: we are a homegrown little channel without any cash for marketing or promotion (hell, we barely have enough money for the booze).  If you enjoy the show, PLEASE help us out by spreading the word.  Facebook, Twitter, Blogging…anything you can do to simply let people know that we exist is much appreciated.

What does this mean?  Well, there are a few gems that are gone forever.  For us, it means a $#!t-ton more work, but for you…well, it doesn’t mean very much.  We’ll still be chugging away with episodes and will try to have one to you every week (with a few exceptions).

If we do get backed up, though, bear with us.  Life intervenes, and when you are as drunk as us it takes a while to get back on your feet.                              

So from now on we’ll have be posting a new full episode almost every week.  We’ll also throw up some insanely silly helpful hints every few days.  Stay tuned for more drunken debauchery, and be sure to tell your friends.                              

First off, I just finished putting together a release schedule for the first eight episodes and 30 (yes, I said 30) helpful hints.  Episodes will generally come out sometime sunday afternoons (when I’m not too busy to post, of course), and Hints will be peppered throughout the week.

Also, I’m trying to keep everyone who gives a shit about this site updated, but I’m having trouble getting everyone’s information in one place.  If you love me, Lauren, or Jon, feel free to shoot us an email and I’ll shoot you some info for staying updated and add you to the mailing list.

So far our small but dedicated fanbase has been great…I appreciate the kind words and support.  It gets me through the long nights.
